Staying Healthy at All Phases of Life – Riverside's Senior Advantage Program
Riverside’s Senior Advantage is the only program of its kind in the area that offers opportunities and services to our mature adult populations. The program's scope includes health care screenings and seminars, retail and business services, Medicare counseling and assistance and discounts to many of the retail services offered by Riverside.
Knowledgeable Counselors
Personal and confidential consultations to members with Medicare decisions to make or issues to resolve, bill payment concerns and other financial and insurance needs are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Counselors are trained by the Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) under the Illinois Division of Insurance. They help to provide saving in time and money, and also reduce anxiety over unresolved health insurance issues. Appointments are recommended.
Luncheons and Presentations
A variety of educated speakers and presenters are available on topics of importance facing seniors today. A small fee is charged to help cover costs on each event. These luncheons are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m. in the Johnson Lecture Hall at Riverside Medical Center. The AARP Driver Safety Program is offered on a quarterly basis it is held on a Saturday in the Cafe boardroom.
Discounts
Riverside’s Senior Advantage members also receive discounts at Riverside Family Pharmacy, Riverside Cafeteria and Riverside Health Equipment, as well as local gift and retail stores.
Great Parking
Special parking spaces are designated for Senior Advantage members in the parking lots and garages located on the Riverside Medical Center campus.
